UK Electronics are acquisitive

On the 28th September 2018 UK Electronics acquired the share capital of AKT Engineering Ltd, who are based in Runcorn.

AKT Engineering Ltd were established in 1991 and have been under the same ownership ever since. AKT has plenty of history and reputation associated to its name, that is why new owners feel it is appropriate that it will remain in its current location in Runcorn and it will continue to operate with all the existing staff and the addition of Matt Lodge, who is charged with moving the business forward.

They specialise in mechanical engineering and precision machining; full on site plant repairs, maintenance and servicing; electrical rewinds and mechanical overhaul, refurbishment and repair of motors, gearboxes, pumps and generator stators. AKT supply motors, pumps and gearboxes, and stock a large range of bearings.

There are synergies between the two companies and the acquisition will allow UK Electronics to make another service available for their existing customers, as well as plans to expand the work that AKT does.

Look out for the new AKT web site, currently under construction.

Any enquiries should initially be directed to Neil at UK Electronics.
